Terry Lucking, who runs the Belvoir office in Peterborough, has won the national award for the 55-plus Entrepreneur Franchisee Of The Year.

The award, handed to him at the HSBC Franchisee of the Year event, was won by Terry because of what the judges considered to be his impressive local, national and franchise-specific innovations over the years.

He is regularly asked to chair local housing strategy forums, organises local housing workshops and sits on a series of community committees. He was also praised for his focus on staff development, with rewards and retention schemes.

In the next five years, four of his senior staff will be able to get up to five year cent equity in the business through meeting performance targets.

Terry, 58, told Letting Agent Today that: To be recognised with an award as prestigious as this makes all the hard work worth it. I feel that my work within the community has helped me learn more about what my customers want and the dedication of my staff has also helped us achieve continued success over the years.
