Peter Alan, which was acquired by Connells earlier this year and has 26 branches throughout Wales, is set to open six new lettings branches before the end of this year.

The locations are Canton and Roath in Cardiff along with Newport, Swansea, Neath and Merthyr Tydfil.

We currently manage over 2,700 properties, which is a 75 per cent increase over the last two years says Angela Davey, head of lettings and property management at Peter Alan.

We already provide a full lettings service in all of our Peter Alan branches, however the difference is that within our new lettings branches we will have a team of dedicated specialists with a sole focus on this business she says.

Next year Peter Alan will add another nine lettings branches to this expansion programme - the locations have yet to be revealed.

Hopefully the takeover and the new branches will be a vast improvement on the current staff in lettings (and the sales department thinking about it). The staff in the offices are in dire need of training and the head office staff are a complete waste of time. I would be ashamed to give their type of customer service.

An average of 100 properties per office doesn't look that impressive.

However I knew Peter Alan wen I worked in S Wales, they were very professional then (35 years ago!!)
