Central London lettings agency Faron Sutaria has joined The Dogs Trust's Lets with Pets Scheme.

The scheme encourages landlords and lettings agencies to accept tenants with pets and to make the house hunting process easier for pet owners.

As a condition for joining Dogs Trust's Lets with Pets scheme, Faron Sutaria is asking each of its landlord clients if they would consider letting their property to a pet owner, and pet friendly properties are being indicated on the agency's website.

"London has become much more dog friendly over the last few years and I have certainly experienced more tenants asking whether a landlord would allow a pet. This scheme promotes Faron Sutaria as a pet friendly estate agency, setting us apart in the busy lettings marketplace says Karen Kaldezar, director of Faron Sutaria.

Our experience in the London property market means we know that some buildings have pet restrictions on head leases so are able to advise our landlords to double check this she says.

The agency says London Relocation Ltd, a relocation agency which which it works closely, says up to 50 per cent of clients moving to the capital do so with pets.
