Yorkshire agency Linley & Simpson is continuing its expansion programme with the opening of its 11th branch - this one in the Chapel Allerton area of Leeds, following the acquisition of Hendys' sales and lettings portfolio.

The acquisition is the second since Linley & Simpson secured a £1.8m funding package via Santander in order to - in its own words - "accelerate its strategy for future growth."

Linley & Simpson, established for 18 years, took over the Headingley-based Leeds Lets earlier this year, and has all 11 of its branches across north and west Yorkshire.

"We remain on the lookout for more acquisitions in 2015 as we explore ways of consolidating our position at the forefront of best practice, customer service and innovation" says company director Will Linley.

The latest acquisition was made for an undisclosed sum; the new office will continue with the current six staff managed by a long-term employee of Linley & Simpson.

The firm was recently honoured by the Sunday Times Letting and Estate Agency of the Year awards for the fourth consecutive year.
