South east England agency Choices is moving into London with the acquisition of Urban Share, a Dockland lettings company.

We intend using Urban Share as a springboard to bring our unique approach to lettings to London and eventually to complete head to head with the likes of Foxtons says Choices chairman Simon Shinerock.

Choices managing director Julian Wells will be spearheading the project Urban Share, a firm where much of its stock is owned by investment funds.

We'll start with lettings only but we will be introducing a full service estate agency offering once we have found bigger premises says Shinerock, who has also revealed his firm is in discussions with another Docklands agency.

Meanwhile in Liverpool Reeds Rains is expanding its operations after acquiring Guardian Property Lettings, an agency based at Albert Dock. Reeds Rains already has a presence in Liverpool under its City Living brand.

We're obviously delighted that Paul and Sandra Davies, the owners of Guardian Property Lettings, have entrusted Reeds Rains to acquire their business andhave demonstrated their confidence to offer ongoing support to landlords and tenants according to Reeds Rains lettings director Corelia Maskell-Moseley.
