Hello and welcome back to Industry Views on Estate Agent Today and Letting Agent Today.

This week's property news has been dominated by the Labour Party Conference and Ed Miliband's Mansion Tax proposals and possible letting agent fees ban. To find out all you need to know, you can see our weekly round up of the video's news here.

Unfortunately, last week we had to say goodbye to The Secret Agent' due to professional commitments - we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his hard work (he knows who he is) and all his interesting and insightful thoughts on the world of estate agency.

That means, however, that we are now on the lookout for a new Secret Agent and if you think you have what it takes please get in touch on: press@estateagenttoday.co.uk.

Elsewhere on Industry Views this week we are launching a new feature - In Profile. This short, light-hearted interview is an opportunity for senior agents to document their highs and lows of a career in estate agency. Our first instalment comes courtesy of Adam Hesse, Director of Surrey agent Aston Mead and explores his quest for a Porsche 911.

We would also like to welcome Mark Riddick as a contributor. An investor and entrepreneur of over thirty years as well as founder of Searchflow and chair of Search Acumen, Mark has contributed many interesting blogs to Estate Agent Today over the years and it's great to have him back. His first article takes on politics in property.

Meanwhile, our conveyancing specialist Rob Hailstone returns and this week's article 12 Years a Slave' highlights the time it takes to make it as an expert conveyancer and why agents should be so careful when choosing which firms they work with.

As always, today we have published our weekly roundup of estate and letting agents' charity work, including great work from VTUK, iam-sold and Henry James. This week there is also a mention for our good selves after taking part in Jeans for Genes on Wednesday and having an EAT up' lunch this afternoon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The week's full round up can be seen here.

That's all for now - have a great weekend.
