Travel industry management guru Clare Tobin has joined Leaders as its chief operating officer, allowing chief executive Paul Weller to focus on growth strategy while Tobin handles business strategy and customer service.
Tobin spent 17 years with Tui Travel and First Choice where she held senior board roles.
Earlier this year Leaders secured a £30 million expansion financing facility to support its continuing buy-and-build strategy. The firm has added 44 new branches since 2010 and 20 new businesses acquired in the last 12 months. The firm now has 85 branches and more than 950 staff.
This year has seen a number of developments for Leaders, including a rebrand, an extension into sales and a new website.
Tobin says her new role will be to ensure Leaders must be able to drive through operational change whenever necessary to enable us to continue to meet our customers' high expectations.
