I became an estate agent because I was lucky enough to have a choice of jobs after leaving school but estate agency really appealed to me knowing that no two days would ever the same. A great part of the role is that you can let your own personality come through and ultimately have a lot of fun meeting new people and building relationships.

The biggest threat to our industry is Inability to change with moving market conditions. Some of us can become very set in our ways and if you're unable to adapt you won't survive!

My proudest moment in estate agency is Being asked to take over our successful and well established office in the heart of Camden.

My biggest mistake in estate agency is Thinking that you can please everybody.

The most stressful part of my job is Ensuring the buying and selling process doesn't disrupt the everyday life of my clients until completion.

If I could change one thing about estate agency it would be To bring in tighter regulations, ensuring everybody understands the role of estate agents. Unfortunately there are times when clients and buyers are misled by an agency in order to prioritise the deal' rather than the client's best interest.

My one piece of advice for young agents is That honesty is always the best policy. If you are ever in any doubt talk to your managers as they would rather you know than guess!

The best thing about being an estate agent is Ultimately knowing that you're helping people in one of the biggest decisions of their lives and hopefully making it as stress-free as possible.

Absolutely agree with Oliver Venn! Buying a house that in the future will be a home is one of the biggest decisions. That's why we need professionals! Keep going :)
