Charity the Estate Agency Foundation has re-launched itself under the new name of Agents Giving.

The new phase coincides with last month's appointment of Peter Knight as Chairman of the charity.

Agents Giving sees a change in the organisation's charitable purpose and it will give to a wider spread of charities - not just homeless causes.

Knight said: "While homelessness is close to our hearts, by speaking to our members, we found that many agents are also keen to give back directly to their community, whether through raising money for local charities or supporting other activities.

"The new name, Agents Giving, highlights the breadth of causes that we are able to help through our members' work."

The charity aims to significantly increase the amount of money raised.

Agents Giving now pledges that any money raised will be "topped up" by 10% from central fundraising.

Knight said: "We hope that our 10% 'top-up' will provide an incentive for even more agents to get involved in raising money for good causes."
