2) For those not familiar with Agent Locator, can you explain what you do?
Agent Locator supports high street estate agents by providing an online platform to showcase fees and expertise. Agents will be able to generate personalised company profiles and update fees, services and branding on the website at any time. Online agents are not permitted to join. Vendors and landlords simply enter their location and local high street estate agents are displayed instantly.
3) Why only high street estate agents?
High street estate agents are the local property experts and we want to get this message out loud and clear. We want to promote our members and the benefits of using local agents. With the increasing presence of online agents, we will divert landlords and vendors who are searching for online agents to Agent Locator. This will provide high street estate agents with additional leads, allowing direct competition with online estate agents.
4) What is your background?
My background is in the legal industry and I am a Company Director of legal costing and solicitors firms. I follow the housing market very closely and over the years I have been adding to my own personal property portfolio. I’ve always enjoyed dealing with high street estate agents locally and the level of service they provide, which is where the idea came from. Agent Locator will promote the great work high street estate agents are doing online.
5) How does Agent Locator work?
Agent Locator is free, quick and easy to use. Vendors and landlords simply enter their location and local high street estate agents are displayed instantly. Agents will be able to generate personalised company profiles and update fees, services and branding on the website at any time. All leads are sent directly to the agent’s inbox, who will then make contact with the vendor or landlord.
6) How has the initial response been?
The feedback so far has been great, with agents nationwide signing up on a daily basis. We will also listen to agents about what they want on the site in order develop Agent Locator even further. There are no sign up fees and all leads are free. Agent Locator is completely free. There are no plans to change this model, our focus is to unite high street estate agents and continue to grow the community online. We will soon be launching a series of media campaigns to promote our members and Agent Locator.
