PropertyPal, a portal covering Northern Ireland, has launched a new Android app which allows consumers to ‘draw’ a defined area in which they want to search for a home to rent or buy. 

The app – which complements the portal’s iPhone app launched earlier this year – carries the usual features allowing filtered searches by price, style and popularity.

But it also boasts a ‘Draw a Search’ feature, which enables users to map out a specific area that they would like to carry out their search. These areas can also be saved and users can receive regular emails when new properties become available in that location, meaning that they can be constantly kept up to date.

“Mobile is crucial to our business, it now makes up 70 per cent of all visits to PropertyPal so continuous investment in this area is important to us. Now we can offer a suite of apps that boosts a smoother and more intuitive user experience allowing for quicker and easier property searching” says Errol Maxwell, the portal’s managing director.
