A new portal has been launched to publicise possible student investment properties.
At the moment it has under 30 properties, almost all in the East Midlands and north of England, but its founding company - Lead Galaxy, which also owns The Move Channel and Overseas Property Professional - says the site, called StudentProperties.Investment, is tapping into a burgeoning market.
Quoting Savills data, it says investment in UK university accommodation has reached a record $6.5 billion in the first three quarters of 2015.
The site includes a guide for novice investors, and allows comparisons between listed properties by yield, terms, buyback or starting prices.
"This new site will be a focal point for our marketing activity in relation to this category of investment” says Dan Johnson, chief executive of Lead Galaxy.
