LSL snaps up nine letting books so far this year

LSL Property Services says it has already acquired nine lettings books so far this year - with more to follow - to add to the 10 it acquired in 2014.

This is in addition to the acquisitions by its development division, LSLi, of six branches of south west London agent Hawes & Co last year and seven branches of Thomas Morris, which operates in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, earlier this year.

LSL owns multiple estate agency brands which, it says, are providing a home for lettings agents looking to sell their businesses or just their portfolios.

“Acquisitions are a key part of our strategy. We understand that many independent agents have spent years building their brand and reputation but have reached a stage where they need a helping hand to either grow their business or plan for their exit or retirement” says  David Brown, LSL’s commercial director.

“We can provide that support and, by doubling the size of our acquisitions team, are actively looking to acquire even more businesses this year” says Brown.
