New lettings chief for Romans as it continues its acquisition trail

Todays other news

The Romans Group – which made seven acquisitions of independent agencies in 2015 – has appointed a new lettings managing director.

Michael Cook, who is promoted from assistant managing director of the lettings division of the company, replaces Peter Fuller who is now director of mergers and acquisitions.

Established in 1987, Romans now has 27 sales and lettings branches across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

The most recent acquisition by Romans with the takeover of Bramptons sales and lettings branches at Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire. Expanding its territory coverage has been high on the agenda for the group since 2013 and its securing of a £12m facility for more business purchases.

Fuller says: “We are actively looking to acquire sales and lettings businesses, from dynamic agencies with multiple branches to those with small lettings portfolios.”
