The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has teamed up with 62 other property bodies to launch “a global consultation on ethics principles” within the industry.
The bodies have come together in a group called the International Ethics Coalition under the leadership of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation.
“The new standard has been written by a group of independent industry leaders and international ethics and compliance experts appointed by trustees of the IES Coalition. Included in the group are prominent real estate representatives from Russia, China, France, the USA, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, Canada and the UK” explains a coalition spokesman.
