"I'm shocked beyond comprehension. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen, especially so close to Christmas. For people to resort to this kind of criminality is very sad" he told the Stoke Sentinal newspaper and website.

"The offenders got in from the back. They smashed a small window and climbed through it before rooting around for money or whatever they could get their hands on. They smashed the filing cabinets when they couldn't get inside them and paperwork was all over the place. They damaged doors, the guttering outside and tiles on the roof” he told the paper.

"The cost of it could be about £3,500 and maybe even more. We lost business too as we had to turn clients away. But we are determined to stay open for our clients. We will not let burglars, thieves or other criminals scare or intimidate us” he says.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary. They should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 126 of December 15.
