Another independent snapped up in agency's £30m spending spree

The Romans Group has snapped up Handovers in Guildford, another acquisition using its £30m facility for expansion purchases.

Handovers is now fully-incorporated into the Romans Guildford branch, which a year ago took over Guildford agency Meldrum Salter Edgley. The much-expanded office now offers investment advice, conveyancing, surveying, auction sales, mortgage advice, land and new homes, and planning as well as sales and lettings.

Established in 1987, the Romans Group has 27 sales and lettings branches across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

The Group also recently merged with Leaders to form Property Services Holdings, which has a combined UK network of over 140 branches.

The firm says it is on the lookout for additional acquisition opportunities.
