New student accommodation portal promises to provide leads to agents

Two former University of Lincoln students are to launch a students-only lettings portal on June 1, allowing agencies and private landlords to upload properties.

FreshRent.co.uk is the brainchild of Harry Conti and Marcus Yates, who say that when they were searching for student lodgings they could not find any user-friendly site which was easy to understand and navigate.

FreshRent will offer automatic uploads, weekly rent price postfixes, unlimited photos and video listings with users able to search by city, map, current location or university campus.

Private Landlords will be able to upload details at £4.95 per property for 12 months; landlords who use the portal to send their listing to a local agency for a valuation, will receive a 50 per cent discount on their listing fee.

This constitutes, the portal says, an opportunity for letting agencies to get direct leads from landlord advertisers.

Agents signing up during the rest of May will, claims the portal, receive a free no-obligation 18 month trial. Agencies using automatic uploads pay an annual subscription of £289, although manual uploads are also available.

FreshRent says it has already signed up over 20,000 student properties across the UK to launch with the service on June 1.

    Hello,

Thank you for the feature, it is much appreciated!

I think that you have a photo of the US university of Lincoln, not the UK.
