Letting agents invited to join online inventory training courses

Letting agents and landlords are being invited to join new online training courses run by the Association of Independent Inventory Clerks.

The three courses currently available are a full online 'Inventory Course', a 'Check Out Refresher Workshop' and an 'Inventory Refresher Workshop'. 

The refreshers are aimed at those already familiar with the inventory process, while the full course is aimed at new, existing and prospective clerks as well as agents and landlords who want to learn about the process.

For independent inventory clerks, the new online courses - provided by Solutions 4 Inventories and offered in addition to the association's existing two-day courses - provide an alternative way to gain membership of the AIIC. Clerks who complete the full inventory course will be eligible to apply for AIIC membership at no additional cost.

"The courses are ideal for people who can't attend one of our sessions or perhaps a landlord or agent who wants to brush up on their knowledge of the inventory process" explains Patricia Barber, chair of the AIIC, which is the industry’s largest membership organisation for independent clerks.

"It's crucial that people working in the industry have a solid understanding of the inventory process and we hope our courses can facilitate this, as well as accrediting independent inventory clerks from all over the UK" she says.
