Cushman & Wakefield has added a partner and an associate director to its Residential Investment & Private Rented Sector team.

Fergus Jack, Partner, and Oliver Chapman, Associate Director – both from the Valuation & Advisory department – have been brought in after the team secured £500m worth of business last year.

Key deals included The Oaks in Ealing, west London, acquired at £72m and Velocity Village, Sheffield, sold for £38m. The team also says there is significant appetite from investors and developers for forward funding and standing stock deals.

“I am delighted both Fergus and Oli have decided to join us at such an exciting time. This not only increases our market presence but their structuring skill set will greatly benefit our client strategies” explains Jack Simmons, Head of Residential Investment.

The appointments are the latest in a series of hires within the Cushman & Wakefield residential team as the firm further broadens its access to the sector.

“The growth of our residential business remains a key priority for Cushman & Wakefield” says Candice Matthews, Head of Residential.

“We have made significant headway in expanding the team over the past 12 months and are seeing strong results from the investment in both our UK teams and global infrastructure” she says.
