Humberts has announced the setting up of a new lettings department to be headed by a former Countrywide branch manager.

Suzanne Diamond has been in the agency industry for 14 years, much of it as branch manager at John D Wood’s Weybridge office in Surrey.

She was chosen to complete Countrywide’s senior management training programme and in 2013 was national runner up at Countrywide’s annual awards for the office with the highest income growth.

More recently Diamond moved to Surrey agency Curchods where she led its then-new lettings business before being appointed group lettings director; she also set up a lettings department in Curchods’ sister company Burns & Webber.

Humberts says it is in the process of looking at lettings branch openings outside of London to complement its existing sales network of 23 offices. Humberts is also looking to acquire existing managed portfolios of lettings properties.

“Having worked for both a corporate and a large independent agency I have had the opportunity to see the strengths and weaknesses of both types of business and I will be using this information to try and create the ideal service” says Diamond.
