Agent’s retirement triggers merger between two independent firms

Todays other news

Two independent agencies in Newbury are merging.

After a 40 year career in agency, Jeffery Brown from Atkinson Keene decided to retire and Jones Robinson – another independent, already merged with other agents in recent years – has stepped forward to join forces and form one business.

A statement says the merger between the two agencies not only provides job security for Atkinson Keene employees, but also brings the wider community the benefit of a stronger business.

“That’s a massive boost for landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers and property investors as they can now choose a bolstered agency team who possess unrivalled industry knowledge, local insights and a professional approach tailored to our community. It’s a level of service you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere” says Charles Robinson.

The new business handles lettings and sales.
