EweMove – the online agency which is at the centre of a merger battle between its parent company and a rival franchise group – claims its average tenancy length is over twice that of the national average.

EweMove says its average tenancy length is 43 months compared with a national figure, recently produced in research from Your Move, of just 20 months.

EweMove claims this is because it undertakes home visits with a local representative arranging to see a prospective tenant at their current rented property to determine their suitability.

If a secured tenant leaves a property within 12 months, the agency also guarantees to find a new one free of charge.

EweMove explains that the 43 month tenancy length is based on its tenancy stock in July 2016 reached 1189 properties, and the number of re-lets between July 2016 and July 2017 was 330 properties.

Divided by each other, the total average is 43 months.

The agency says that it has been managing properties since 2005, formerly under the National Property Group brand.

EweMove is now part of The Property Franchise Group, currently engaged in acrimonious discussions with another franchise giant – Belvoir – regarding merger terms.
