Letting agents - how are you coping with digital modernisation?

Angels Media and a property technology consultancy are joining forces to conduct the first-ever survey into how agents and other property professionals are handling the digital revolution.

The survey - which is the brainchild of the leading technology consultancy PropTechConsult - aims to build a wide-ranging picture of the industry, identify technology trends that are already developing and anticipate new needs and issues.

The survey is being conducted not only through Angels Media but also through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the British Property Federation and the organisers of the global property event MIPIM.


“We hope to develop an understanding of how equipped the property industry feels about its ability to embrace digital transformation. We are delighted to be working with some of the largest and most respected media and corporate partners in the UK to develop an insight into both residential and commercial property and housebuilding” explains James Dearsley, a partner at PropTech Consult and a weekly contributor to Estate Agent Today. 

It is hoped that an analysis of the research results will provide feedback and understanding to the industry on which areas of digital transformation offer them opportunities and also identify key threats. 

“We’ve seen surveys focusing on PropTech businesses but nothing that has properly engaged with the property industry. Our short survey, which should take 10 to 12 minutes to complete, is designed to pose questions that the property industry needs to begin to answer” adds Eddie Holmes, partner at PropTechConsult.

“Estate agents are at the heart of the technology revolution in the property world. At Angels Media we’ve been part of the revolution - we have one of the most successful automated valuation systems in the ValPal Network, and we’re developing other new services and products all the time to assist agents. We’re a natural fit with this survey” says Nat Daniels, chief executive of Angels Media.

“In other words, we’re doing the thinking so agents don’t need to and bringing them all-new products and services” adds Daniels.
