Developer offers ‘free management’ on selected new-builds

Barratt Homes’ London division is offering what it describes as ‘free property management’ on new-builds purchased at selected schemes and then let out.

Barratt has teamed up with residential asset management firm The Happy Tenant Company, with the offer applying to three specific schemes – Camden Courtyards, Kidderpore Green in Hampstead, and Lombard Wharf in Battersea.

Investors will receive fully-fitted furniture packs in their new properties and up to three years membership to The Happy Tenant Company.

As well as property management, membership includes a free advice clinic with a portfolio mortgage expert, discounted letting agent fees to help find suitable tenants, as well as cost-price maintenance services for the life of the membership.

“Buy to let legislation has hit hard over the last 18 months, but interestingly some of our landlords are using this as the catalyst to realign their portfolios, selling off properties which are perhaps in less attractive areas or in need significant updating, and replacing with more appealing investments which offer higher yields” says Adam Joseph, chief executive of The Happy Tenant Company.

Camden Courtyards offers 164 one, two, three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, all with their own outdoor space; Kidderpore Green offers a mix of 128 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and houses constructed in the area’s distinctive red brick, and within walking distance to Hampstead Heath and Hampstead Village; and

Lombard Wharf has 134 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses with views across the Thames, the City and beyond.
