Rightmove has revealed the locations where prospective tenants have searched for properties on its portal in 2017 - and the winning area isn’t a northern buy to let hotspot.
Bristol comes out on top with Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and Liverpool coming up behind. Glasgow, Cambridge, Bournemouth and Sheffield round out the top 10.
Bristol was also the most popular location for portal users to look for places to buy, followed by York, Norwich, Edinburgh and Sheffield. Birmingham, Cambridge, Bournemouth, Manchester and Nottingham also made the top 10.
Manchester topped both sales and lettings lists at the end of 2016.
