Another 68 units unveiled at south London Build To Rent scheme

Build To Rent operator L&Q has delivered another 68 homes in part of a drive which it says will eventually produce 25,000 purpose-built rental units.

The flats - 46 one-beds and 22 two-beds - are at its scheme called Seventeen in the south London suburb of Sutton. Unusually, the properties are labelled as pet-friendly.

“As part of our wider scheme to deliver 25,000 [Build To Rent] homes, the new launch shows the diversity of the homes – we want to offer a wide range of homes in a variety of locations, as not all renters are looking for the same thing” explains Erdal Kacar, L&Q operations manager.

The spec shows how typical BTR units are offered in many schemes - fitted kitchens with integrated dishwasher, fridge/freezer and oven, ceramic-tiled bathrooms with bath and shower, floor-to-ceiling windows in some reception room areas, and what is described as “private outdoor space” for each unit.
