Former Countrywide director expands Badger Holdings with acquisition

The firm run by former Countrywide lettings director Nick Dunning has announced the details of its latest acquisition.

Nick Dunning Associates has acquired West London lettings-only business Adams Property, which will expand the Badger Holdings brand.

Badger Holdings - which currently operates via the Townends and Regents brands and their 26 branches - was acquired by Nick Dunning's firm in January.

The acquisition will add more than 700 managed properties to the Badger Holdings portfolio.

“After only twelve weeks as part of Nick Dunning Associates, we are delighted that this acquisition will significantly increase our portfolio of managed units in Ealing and the surrounding areas,” comments Seamus Kavanagh, chief executive of Badger Holdings.

“Adams Property perfectly complements our existing Townends and Regents branches and gives us a further foothold for expansion into other areas where we currently don’t operate.”

Nick Dunning adds: “We are all very pleased to have completed the acquisition of Adams Property and see this as the first of many for Badger Holdings as we look to expand the network significantly this year.”

Funded by a private equity investor, Nick Dunning Associates launched late last year and says it is aiming to purchase around 20 lettings business every year for the next five years.

Dunning himself reportedly oversaw the acquisition of around 100 businesses during his time at Countrywide.

The firm says it is actively looking to acquire more agencies and is open to working with ‘established management teams who are prepared to stay with their business post-acquisition’.

Nick Dunning Associates is run by Nick Dunning (chief executive), Graham Harrison (sales director), Matt Hewitt (commercial director) and Julian Irby (chief financial officer) - all of whom worked together at Countrywide.
