eMoov chief mentors launch of new lettings communications platform

Another new cloud software platform - HeyLandlord - has been launched to make it easier for agents and landlords to communicate with tenants and contractors.

Created by ex-management consultant Tom Townsend and tech innovator Chris Collard - and mentored by Russell Quirk, chief executive of eMoov - HeyLandlord allows agents, property managers, landlords, contractors and tenants to communicate repair requests and other queries via a mobile app and browser platform.

A statement launching the platform says HMOs in particular require a platform that keeps all tenants and contractors in the loop.

The product was originally for landlords but is now being amended to make it suitable for agencies and block management businesses, and there is an option to White Label the product for clients. 

“The business has only been running since January this year, and the platform already has a sizable user base. They are based in London, but already have clients in such international destinations as Chicago and Beirut” explains Collard.

The product is currently being offered for free with Townsend adding that: “Currently revenue is not our focus. We want to build relationships with an amazing community to help us further build our product. If people are helping us achieve that, the least we can do is offer them the product for free.”
