New Build To Rent scheme reveals rent, fees and facilities details

A new Build To Rent scheme from specialist developer Get Living is to charge from £410 a week for units at its new Elephant and Castle scheme, which will be ready to occupy from next month.

Its 374 one, two and three bedroom homes sit on a 1.25 acre site including a new public space hosting a weekly market, and retail units including a gym and five restaurants.

Get Living - which already handles more than 3,000 renters at East Village, the former London 2012 Athletes’ Village - no longer levies a security deposit, does not charge fees and offers longer three year tenancies with a resident-only break clause.

Each resident at the new scheme will also receive free 20Mbps broadband, 24/7 access to self-service parcel delivery lockers and management representatives on site seven days a week. There is also a residents’ club room and a garden terrace.

“2017 has been a significant year for Get Living; we have scrapped deposits, acquired sites in Glasgow and Leeds and launched our second location at Elephant and Castle. We now have more than 6,000 homes under management or in the pipeline across the UK and, as we continue to grow, we remain focused on revolutionising the UK rental experience” says Neil Young, chief executive.
