Trade body to monitor rise and rise of Airbnb-style short lets

The Residential Landlords’ Association, which last autumn published important statistics on the spread of short lets within London, is now looking to update its research on the subject.

The RLA’s previous analysis revealed a 27 per cent increase in short lets in London between February and June last year. Earlier research had discovered that 11 per cent of landlords found their tenants had sublet their property online.

“We have been asked for further information on this issue, and we are keen to find out if this is still an issue for landlords” says the RLA, which has created a short online survey for members to complete.

“The information we collect will help to inform our campaigning and the way in which we approach the Government on the future of private renting” says the association.

You can find the survey here.
