The former director of a lettings agency in Plymouth is to appear in court in March facing charges of fraud, false accounting and theft amounting to an estimated £450,000.

As Letting Agent Today has reported in the past, Heather Crabb owned and operated Drake Homes from 2005 until it closed in September 2016.

We reported on local media stories saying she was arrested shortly before Christmas 2016 after complaints from landlords and tenants.

The agency specialised in letting to students, and was located close to the main campus of the city’s university.

Crabb faces two counts of fraud by abuse of position, one count of false accounting and two counts of theft according to the local Western Evening Herald newspaper.

The alleged offences are understood to date between April 1 2016 and September 1 2016.

Crabb is currently free under unconditional bail and will appear at Plymouth Magistrates Court on March 1.
