Donation made to Auschwitz Memorial after accidental use of image

Todays other news

A representative of the Landlords’ Union has posted an apology on the Property118 website for accidentally using a photograph of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Over the Christmas holiday period Neil Patterson published an article about how UK landlords could be criminalised or face prison as a result of the actions of their tenants.

He accidentally used an image which featured Auschwitz, without realising the subject matter of the picture.

“I sincerely apologise for any offense caused and have now changed the image on the article that caused offense. I have also made a donation to the Auschwitz Memorial” Patterson has now written on Property118.

The image had initially prompted a Twitterstorm with one social media poster telling Patterson he should “go and visit Auschwitz – you then might realise how inappropriate this picture is. Remove it as soon as possible.”
