A students’ union is the latest body to partner a review platform allowing renters to give their verdict on dealing with letting agents and landlords.

Salford Students’ Union is collaborating with Marks Out Of Tenancy and a spokesperson for the union says: “We’re looking for increased transparency, to expose rogue landlords and to help students in making an informed decision when choosing where to live.

“We need to get this right. Students deserve good value for money when paying for housing, especially with student rental prices being as high as they currently are. This means good housing conditions and proper support from parent universities, student unions and local authorities.”

Other student unions partnering the platform include Oxford, Brighton, Surrey, Bristol, and Newcastle.
