Connells Group brand Fox & Sons has added a lettings portfolio in Salisbury to its network after completing the acquisition of Jolly Property Services.

JPS started life in 1984 as an agency for serving armed forces personnel to let their homes when posted abroad.

Since then it has become a mainstream lettings and sales operation covering Amesbury, Tilsbury, Shaftesbury, Warminster, Salisbury and the surrounding villages.

With owner John Theophilus retiring, the business will be transferred into Fox & Son’s existing Salisbury office and all seven staff members retained.

The acquisition “enhances our position in the local market, grants us access to further tenants and investors, and supports our strategy for growth in our lettings business,” says Stephen Nation, lettings managing director at parent company Connells Group.

Connells Group says the acquisition forms part of a wider initiative to acquire and expand and it’s asking others independents to let them know if they want to discuss future opportunities.
