Another one bites the dust - independent agency snapped up by chain

The Leaders Romans Group has acquired Upp Property Lettings in Oakham and Stamford.

The acquisition will see the existing Leaders branch in Stamford take over the local tenancies in the town, while the newly-acquired Oakham office will be re-branded Leaders, adding nearly 575 let properties to the existing 121 branches in the Leaders network.

Upp’s owner, David Crooke, will continue to run the separate sales business in Stamford.

This is the most recent in a busy 12-month period for Leaders Romans Group, during which it has expanded to 152 branches across the country with 13 acquisitions.

“Our current management in Stamford is a market leader in the town and we are extremely pleased to be able to retain all of the staff from the Oakham office; not only will this be an important part of maintaining the landlord relationship but we are sure they will become valued members of our wider Leaders team” explains Matthew Light, group acquisitions director at LRG.

“We are committed to our continued expansion; 2018 has been very successful in this area so far and we look forward to acquiring many more businesses, to spread the reach of both Leaders and Romans throughout the country.”
