Lettings agency Northwood has been told by the Advertising Standards Authority to ensure that photographs of a specific property are updated once a refurbishment has taken place.

The ASA received a complaint about a listing for a rental property, marketed  by Northwood, on the Rightmove portal.

The complainant objected that the photos were misleading as the property was in a state of disrepair and not available for immediate occupancy.

A statement from the ASA says: “The advertiser removed claims that the property was immediately available and we told them to ensure that the photographs were updated once the refurbishment of the property was completed.”
