The agency handling the largest volume of student accommodation in Lincoln is celebrating its fourth birthday by opening a second office outside of the city.

Letting agency and property management firm Student Housing, which is part of the Lincoln Property Co., opened its Nottingham office this week.

Established by former University of Lincoln students Harry Conti (25) and Marcus Askam-Yates (28), Student Housing says its turnover has quadrupled since opening in 2015.

Last year the agency acquired properties worth over £3m for investors.

“Marcus and I set the business up shortly after leaving the University of Lincoln. We knew from firsthand experience that there was a gap in the market for a company that would only provide students with top quality accommodation, an all-inclusive approach to bills and exceptional service” says Conti.

“A lot of the investors and landlords we work with in Lincoln also own houses in Nottingham, so it was a logical move to open the new office, and it just happened to coincide with our fourth anniversary.”

He adds: “Our research suggests that students don’t get the service they deserve from letting agents as they’re not run by people who understand what students are looking for. The fastest broadband, all-inclusive bills, tenant perks, annual tenant parties, appealing décor and high-quality fixtures and fittings are what students want, and we only work with landlords and property owners who are prepared to offer this.”
