A branch of the Property Franchise Group brand Whitegates has acquired a local independent lettings agency.

Whitegates Huddersfield now has over 700 managed properties as a result of acquiring Easy Lettings: no staff or premises were involved in the deal.

Managing director Chan Khangura says: “I initially purchased Whitegates Huddersfield in 2012 and added the sales business to the lettings in 2015. Since then, we have grown from 220 managed properties to now almost 700 and this has strengthened our hold as the biggest lettings agent in Huddersfield.”

Kate Toland, Managing Director of Xperience and Whitegates, added: “Chan has always been a forward-thinking and ambitious franchisee and I’m delighted to see him increase his managed portfolio through this acquisition. Whitegates prides itself on strong local knowledge and superb customer service and Chan’s new clients from Easy Lettings will now benefit from both.”
