Northwood franchisees have completed four acquisitions, taking the total this year to eight.
As part of the Belvoir Group, Northwood and has a dedicated acquisition team which says that be the end of 2019 will have added some 2,000 managed properties to the brand’s portfolio.
“The latest acquisitions include the completion of King Woolley by Sam Linn of Northwood Banbury & Chipping Norton. Sam only joined the business in 2016 and has become one of the fastest growing franchisees in the Northwood network. This acquisition will continue to operate under the King Woolley brand” explains Northwood managing director Phil Gee.
“We have also had the acquisition of Milton Ward by Davinia Taylor of Northwood Milton Keynes … In the summer Phil Sergeant and his daughter Kate Gwinnutt of Northwood Cardiff complete on the acquisition of Morgans Cardiff … Finally, Brian ‘Mitch’ Mitchison of Northwood Reading recently completed on the acquisition of Hastings Sales and Lettings Reading” he continues.
“I think these recent acquisitions ably demonstrate the appetite for acquisitions amongst the Northwood franchisee network, and I am confident that Belvoir’s acquisition programme will continue to deliver further dividends to everyone in the group.”
Gee says acquisitions have been part of Northwood’s growth strategy for the past three years, partly to negate the tenant fees ban.
