First, he was trying his hand in lettings, then he devised a 2.5% commission to take on Purplebricks.

Now, after nine months in the industry, David Brent of Brent Estates is trying to join the Federation of Independent Agents (FIA).

Since we last heard from him, Slough’s finest has sent top employee Gareth out knocking on doors to drum up business and been ripping down rivals’ boards – the first lesson he was taught in the industry.

On a visit to FIA HQ alongside its founder Graham Lock and James Reyland of FIA’s Harlow representative agency Reyland Johnson, Brent chances his arm at becoming the FIA’s member for Slough.

He says just getting on with being an agent ‘sounds like hard work’, before asking Reyland to ‘send us some leads’ and for a new job.
