One of London’s largest agencies, Chestertons, has reported a record month for revenues in September as well as its best ever Q3 results.

The agency says its results were boosted by especially strong performances from its Central London office and its lettings division.

Chestertons’ lettings department recorded its best ever month in September and also a record quarter when it comes to tenancies agreed and revenue.

The firm’s overall revenue for Q3 was up 11% on the same period in 2018.

“The summer is always the busiest time for lettings in London but this year has been more intense than ever as a shortage of rental properties across popular areas of London has created an ultra-competitive environment for tenants,” explains Richard Davies, Chestertons’ head of lettings.

He says the record lettings performance is down to a ‘growing workforce’ and improvements to the firm’s internal tech systems.
