Acquisition means firm offers residential lettings for first time

Scottish legal firm Gilson Gray has shaped up Coulters Letting, meaning it now enters the residential rentals sector for the first time.

The addition of Edinburgh-based Coulters Lettings will see eight staff, including the transfer of founders Sam Paulo and Marcus Di Rollo as Legal Directors, transfer.

The deal will also provide Gilson Gray Property Services with a letting portfolio of around 380 properties.

Paulo says: “This is a really fantastic opportunity for us to drive further development. Gilson Gray is a dynamic, award-winning firm which has grown significantly in the last five years. From this takeover, we now have access to invaluable resources and support which will help us to deliver success.”

Gilson Gray describes itself as one of Scotland’s most prominent and leading legal practices offering services within the legal, property and financial sectors.

Matthew Gray, managing director of Gilson Gray Property Services, says: “The transfer of the Coulters team will allow us to significantly expand the scope and scale of our property team – who will mainly be located in yet more office space we have acquired.

“Sam and Marcus are well-known experts in their field so we’re delighted to have them come on board with their talented pool of staff. This is a significant step forward in our drive to become Scotland’s leading full-service property firm.”

Gilson Gray has grown to around 150 staff across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and North Berwick.
