The fast-growing Federation of Independent Agents has this morning revealed that it’s linking with Training For Professionals, the largest provider of lettings legislation training across England and Wales.

This will allow FIA members to have access to TFP’s suite of lettings documentation including management forms, tenancy agreements and a dedicated helpline.

The service will be included in the monthly FIA membership subscription and complements the FIA’s existing partnership with Compliance Matters, a consultancy providing the group’s members with a general compliance helpline to assist with anti-money laundering regulations amongst other services.

“It’s very important that our members are trading in a compliant fashion, especially in a market where legislation is often changed and agents can find themselves behind the curve, this partnership will ensure that our members have live access to the very latest documentation whilst the TFP helpline will add further comfort of professional advice on-tap” explains FIA founder Graham Lock.

“FIA members have access to a wide-variety of products and services that help them to take their businesses forward, having compliance products such as TFP wrapped around this is extremely important as we continue to build a network of top performing agents that the public recognise as operating in a professional and compliant manner” he adds.

The FIA aims to leverage the economies of scale of a large number of independents combined, in order to secure PropTech and other services at a price and quality previously reserved for large high-spending corporates.

It consists of what Lock calls ”non-competing, high-calibre independent estate agents who are invited to join based on their dedication to customer service, professionalism and are ambitious in their thinking.”

The federation accepts only one agency per area into membership, and charges agents £295 plus VAT per branch per month.

Lock adds: “2020 will be a very strong year for the FIA and its members, starting in January when we will announce three more key products and service partnerships, exclusive to our members, as we continue our plan to help agents grow revenues whilst saving costs through our increasing buying power.”
