Another independent’s lettings business snapped up by Corporate

Connells Group has acquired the lettings business portfolio of an independent agency in a move it describes as “part of its continued strategy to extend its residential lettings network and increase market share.”

Omega Property Services is an independent business operating across Clacton-on-Sea, Holland-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze.

The business offers a range of residential lettings and property management services, manages over 170 units and will be absorbed into the Clacton-on-Sea branch of  William H Brown - it’s part of the Sequence UK national network of estate agencies, a subsidiary of Connells Group.

The acquisition sees William H Brown retain three of Omega Property Services key members of staff who will assist with managing the transfer of the business and continue to offer consistency of service to both landlords and tenants.

Stephen Nation, Connells Group lettings managing director, says: “This acquisition allows us to grow our portfolio of managed properties in a quality marketplace and extend our property services to even more customers, tenants and landlords in Clacton and its surrounding areas.  We’re delighted to welcome our new team members into the business who will prove invaluable for keeping complete consistency and familiarity for customers as we manage the transfer of the business.”

Omega director Ian Hunt says: “Having taken the decision to focus on the sales side of our business, it was important that our lettings portfolio passed to a company that has the specialist resources and expertise essential for landlords over the coming months and years.”

Connells Group says it’s on the acquisition trail and is keen to hear from businesses that would like to become part of a larger group.
