Fees Ban: it’s the final countdown says ARLA as agents’ roadshow continues

It’s now under four weeks to the introducing of the Tenant Fees Ban across England and the Association of Residential Letting Agents is warning any final agencies still to prepare to act now.

“With no time to waste, agents need to ensure they’re compliant with the law, and understand how the ban will impact their business. To help members overcome the legal challenges of the Act and comply with the ban, we launched the Tenant Fees Toolkit last month providing practical tools and materials to support our members through every step of the transition and beyond” says ARLA chief executive David Cox.

Over the weekend ARLA added more than 70 Frequently Asked Questions to the Toolkit.

“We also have a series of upcoming roadshows which will update on the legislation and provide key insights on how businesses can thrive post the ban. We urge members to attend as we rapidly head towards June 1. Agents can help reduce the impact on their business by being prepared and with the date fast approaching, they must act now.”

The three remaining roadshows are in Leeds on May 9 (at Oulton Hall, 9am-1pm), and at the Stratford Manor in the Midlands on May 10 (9am-1pm) and finally on May 30 at Exeter Racecourse (9am-1pm).

At each of them David Cox will give an update on the legislation and ARLA Propertymark board member John Paul will share tips and insights into how businesses can thrive through in the post-fees ban era.
