Grainger, one of the biggest names in Build To Rent, has agreed to buy a proposed 348 home-scheme in central Nottingham.

The listed BTR firm will pay £55.6m to the current site owner, Blocwork, which is hosting the scheme that has been a joint venture between Network Rail and London developer Bloc.

Planning was granted for the homes last year.

A contractor has still to be signed up to do the work but Grainger expects construction to start in the second half of this year with completion in 2024.

Yesterday we reported that Grainger was targeting two types of tenants – young professionals and students – for its 614-home Clippers Quay scheme in Manchester.
