A Sheffield agency has suffered two break-ins over just four days, with computers stolen and offices damaged.

MorfittSmith’s sales office was the first target during the early hours of Friday February 14, taking computers and other equipment.

They then struck at the firm’s lettings office on Monday February 17, again during the early hours of the morning.

According to the Sheffield Star newspaper, a spokesperson for the agency says the same person or people were probably behind both burglaries and were startled during the second raid as less property was stolen.

“They’ve caused a great deal of damage and it’s cost us a lot of money and caused us great inconvenience … It’s clear we’ve been specifically targeted, which is very sad” says the spokesperson.

“All the staff are very shaken, but thankfully nobody was in at the time, no one was harmed and nothing was taken that can’t be replaced, We will come back fighting fit and be stronger for it.

“We are appealing to everyone, if you have any information, if you saw either of the burglaries, if you witnessed anything out-of the ordinary, please come forward and contact us or the police.”

Both offices remain open.

Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
