PropTech links for The Depositary aim at 10-minute check-out

PropTech service The Depositary is extending its existing partnership with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, aiming to fully integrate with the TDS Custodial scheme by the end of this year.

Existing Custodial Scheme members using The Depositary “will see a more seamless offering and better time-savings” according to The Depositary co-founder Kristjan Byfield.

Alongside this, The Depositary is also integrating with Inventory Hive, another partner of TDS. This integration, expected to be released later this month, will further enhance users’ handling of check-outs.

“We estimate this integration will save agents a further 15 to 20 minutes per tenancy, removing data-duplication and eliminating human error in the meantime” Byfield continues.

“This helps us get that little bit closer to our goal of enabling a letting agent to conclude a tenancy with around 10 minutes work, whilst embracing best-practice, industry-leading standards and transparency for all. Having extensively tested the platform this year with some amazing feedback from agents and users alike we are now hoping to see agents up and down the country join us.”

TDS chief executive Steve Harriott says the enhanced link is “a win-win-win solution; landlords and agents save time and money and tenants can resolve their deposit repayments more quickly” while Inventory Hive founder Richard Abbots says the integration ”will close the loop from pre check-in to post check-out.”
