The UK Short Term Accommodation Association, a new trade body representing the short-term rental sector, has added two new members to its books.
There are now over 90 companies operating in the short term rentals sector and in the association.
The new members are property and care platform Breezeway, and short let rentals consultancy Bonjour Consulting.
The association was making dire predictions at the depth of the spring lockdown but now Merilee Karr, STAA chair, says: “It’s great to be able to welcome even more members to our rapidly growing association. We have seen our membership nearly double this year which means that the STAA now represents the vast majority of the short term rentals industry.
“This in turn gives us far more influence in our conversations with government and local authorities when we represent members’ views.
“In the current climate, when we should all be working together for the greater good of local communities and economies, we firmly believe that short-term accommodation providers have a valuable role to play and that our desire to grow will be both sustainable and responsible.”
